6:00 Friday night services at Congregation Beth Sholom (reform):

Services run approximately 45 minutes with a blessing over wine or grape juice after. Snacks will follow. Appropriate dress is men in button up shirts with jeans or slacks. Wearing tee shirts with slogans are less appropriate. Women, most anything you would wear to a PTA meeting.

Saturday morning services at The Alaska Jewish Campus (Orthodox): Starts at 10:30 but only a few people show up at that time. We shoot for 11:15. You will be welcome whenever you come. We will be honored at around 12:15. Services last until around 1:00. Then there is a blessing over grape juice and bread followed by lunch.

Appropriate dress for men remains the same. Women, slacks are still appropriate. They will accept you as you are but FYI, the women who belong to this temple are covered neck to below the knees and upper arms, too.

Tradition dictates that members of this group refrain from touching others whom they are unrelated to especially the opposite gender.
